Java tea (Orthosiphon Stamineus) or locally called "Misai Kucing" in Malay. Beside been effective in lower high blood pressure,  it is anti-rheumatism, anti-inflammatory , anti-diabeticit. It is also good for kidneys and the urinary system as a whole. Traditionally in south east asia, the decoction of the leaves is used for treating diabetes, hypertensive, gallstones, and cataract of the bladder and urinary disorders.

Orthosiphon Stamineus is a herbaceous plant (up to 1.5m h) bearing campanulate whitish-bluish flowers with long exerted filaments (giving its namesake "cat's whiskers"). Java tea plant can be found in most part of South East Asian countries including Malaysia. The plant produces white or violet flowers while the leaves contained high minerals content particularly potassium, calcium and natural active ingredients (Flavonoid, Caffeic Acid Derivatives, Saponins and Triter-Penoids). Two main ethnic use of this plant are for its diuretic and anti hypertensive effects.

Several studies have given some insights into these traditional claims. The lyophilized extract enhanced ion excretion in rats, and in a clinical trial in Thailand, the extract was shown to increase citrate and oxalate excretion in man suggesting a potential use in reducing kidney stones.

Studies have shown that Java tea water extract have demonstrated an anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Further tests have also been carried out to observe the diuretic activity and the elimination of chlorides and urea in the body. Similar tests also showed that Java tea water extract increased excretion of citrate and oxalate that helps to prevent bladder stones formation.

Our Java Tea are pesticide and herbicide free. The leaves are picked and selected, washed and then slow-dried in a temperature controlled hot air oven made from stainless steel. It is then cut and packed into tea bag sachet. Each standard pack has 12-40 tea bags.. OEM manufacturing welcome.
